evolv1 has been certified as the first Zero-Carbon Building-Design project and has also achieved Zero-Carbon Performance through CaGBC. Attendees will be led through the LEED Platinum-certified building and learn about the sustainable features of evolv1.

evolv1 has been certified as the first Zero-Carbon Building-Design project and has also achieved Zero-Carbon Performance through CaGBC. The tour of evolv1 will be led by Adrian Conrad (C.O.O of The Cora Group), Thor Neumann (Sr. Project Manager of The Cora Group) and Tova Davidson (Sustainable Waterloo Region’s Executive Director).
Attendees will be led through the LEED Platinum-certified building and learn about the sustainable features of evolv1 including:
- High performance building envelope
- The solar wall
- HVAC system featuring Mitsubishi’s VRF system
- Geothermal system
- 3 storey living wall
- The solar array covering over 160 parking spaces
- 40,000 liter cistern for rain water harvesting
- charging stations
Adrian Conrad COO
Adrian Conrad’s business and financial acumen coupled with project management knowledge makes Adrian a discerning commercial developer and a natural partner at The Cora Group. Adrian has extensive experience in commercial development and leasing for small and large tenant needs, and over his career, has overseen the development or leasing of more than 2 million square feet of office space within Waterloo Region. Thor Neumann, P. Eng., LEED AP
Senior Project Manager
Thor’s objective as a project manager is to integrate with the client, work as a team, and make every project a success. Thor has built a 25-year career helping manufacturing, industrial, and commercial clients develop their larger greenfield, renovation, and expansion projects.
Experienced in sustainable building systems commissioning, including evovl1, Thor has specialized in managing integrated, multidiscipline design teams, and takes a hands-on approach to work on projects, preparing and reviewing site plans, conducting due diligence investigation, performing feasibility studies, providing services and grading designs, securing agency approvals, preparing cost estimates, managing sub-consultants, and performing contract administration services.
Tova Davidson, Executive Director
Sustainable Waterloo Region
Tova Davidson leads Sustainable Waterloo Region under the Board of Directors, by developing their strategic direction, supporting team members and is responsible for building key relationships throughout Waterloo region. She brings her experience in public relations and communications to creatively approach sustainability opportunities. Paired with her business background she is primed to collaborate with top organizations in Waterloo Region to drive change locally and provincially.
