Glen Good, CET, CBCO
Glen has been the sole proprietor of a building code and drafting service business for over 30 years, specializing in pre-permit plans review and building code consulting. He is a member in good standing with the Ontario Association of Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) and a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET). Glen has worked as a designer/estimator and project manager for 5 years in the private sector and as a building/plumbing inspector for 4 years in the City of Cambridge and 15 years as the manager of building inspections for the City of Kitchener. For 7 years he has served as a part-time professor in the Architecture Construction Engineering Technology (ACET) program at Conestoga College and for 14 years as a fulltime professor. His primary subject areas included building and fire codes, building science, estimating, and building performance. He is a Certified Building Code Official (CBCO) and has been a member of the Ontario Building Official Association for over 30 years. He has served as a qualified course trainer for the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing for the past 20 years and is able to facilitate all current OBOA courses, excluding Part 8 Private Sewage Systems. His community and board involvement work includes attainable housing and alternative housing options for the homeless.
